Pretty Places

I think I'll treat myself to all the pretty places in my head -Stevie Wonder, Treat Myself

Bringing my lizard friend around Sydney & beyond for the past 2 weeks, cliche as it may sound, has made me realise how lucky we are to still be able to enjoy the luxuries of nature before the globe gets completely warmed up. A friend was saying how in about 50 years time, it would be hard to go fishing like we do today as most of our waters would be unfishable... how sad is the inconvenient truth... (great movie btw...for those who haven't watched it)

I've always believed that pretty places and pretty things are always out there... if only we are perceptive enough. These are a few shots taken off our most recent fishing expedition to Balik Pulau (Penang).... A home-made satellite dish connected to a wooden house on stilts, a heard of cattle grazing beside the dirt road, a fish farm at dusk... I feel like I've been overly sheltered all my childhood life to have missed all these raw glimpses of my hometown at it's best.... I guess It's never too late...
