Big Fish

I think this pic is pretty convincing. Taken by one of my brother's old friend, (Chee Keong) with a handphone. It pretty much sums up my holiday so far. Sister, sun and big fish to fry.

It's hot here. I miss the snow. (NZ was AMAZING btw.) Although there were one too many dramas on the way involving lost passports (found burried in the snow), big fat bruises from skiing and other shananigans involving cancelled flights and stinky shoes. ;)

Final semester at uni and the great beyond afterward looms ahead. It scares me. This stage of my life poses so many forks in the road and I know that whichever route I take, something will be left behind. That scares me too. They say that as one gets older, one will built up one's confidence in making decisions. Smart decisions. The only smart decision I feel I have made lately is to put sunscreen on my face before I baited those worms today.

You know what they say about big fish in life. You gotta hook it good and reel it in swiftly, but not too rough and fast...or it'll get away. You also gotta steer clear of rocks. Let it swim a little. And hang on to it tight when u've finally got it on board. Basically, you gotta know what you're doing....

...Either that, or know how to fake that u've landed a big fish. For example, the fish in the picture was only about 15 cms long. Tiny. It's all about presentation and illusion....
It's like that sometimes, if u can't get the real thing working for you, you gotta work around it to make yourself look good...

I'm gonna catch myself a real, big one one day!!
