It is that time of the year when I feel like bloody Bette Midler, standing there singing "you are the wind beneath my wings" while looking down (literally) upon all my beautiful friends lined up in front of me. I do this every now and then, because I truly feel appreciative of many things that I have been blessed with and I am also making a conscious effort not to take anything for granted.... for I realize that as soon as I do, it usually comes back to smack me on the backside... *katoosh* and not in a good way. :)
