Dashing through the sand

Won't be long till summer time is through, Not for us now
Every now and then we hear our song, We've been having fun all summer long -The Beach Boys, All Summer Long

Where has all that sand and sunshine gone? Why does my kitchen seem smaller now? Was the dishwasher actually on that whole night? I wonder how long the squished lizard on the floor board was there for? How do slugs reverberate? Are Steve & I really psychic? How could I have forgotten the 3rd tenor? Are bluebottle tentacles still poisonous after they're dead and dry?

Let this not be the last Piss&Cards.... cheers to alcoholic watermelon smoothies.

*more photos to be passed around later. I thought it might be appreciated if I posted decent sized group shots....

great pics!!

To answer one of your questions, (shame on you Lin and you call yourself an Aquaclub member) I read at the Sydney Aquarium the other day that the loose and 'dead' tentacles can cause stings too. The Australian Museum has this to say:

"Bluebottles are not always obvious in the water. Tentacles may break away from the colony in the surf and inflict stings just as potent as those from attached tentacles. Even dead specimens stranded on the beach can still cause stings. To avoid being stung do not touch these animals with bare skin and do not enter the water if they are present. Bluebottles are more common on exposed ocean beaches after strong onshore winds and are rarely found in sheltered waters."

I had such a great time :)

Steveeeeeee,
Thanks for that. I know i know, I should have known...but my defence is they display box jellyfish, not bluebottles at the Sydney Aquarium!!! ;)

p.s you should so become an Aquaclub member too!!! :D
